Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of student
nutrition programs - a little time can make a big difference. Breakfast for
Kids involves over 400 volunteers who contributed over 50,300 hours
last year alone. Our volunteers include:
- Parents who wish
to become involved in their child’s school and contribute to a healthy, vibrant
school community
- Seniors whose
presence fosters inter-generational relationships, missing in many children's
lives.
- High school
students who earn hours towards their secondary school community service
requirements while gaining real-life experience working with children and getting
to know their community.
- Employees whose
businesses or organizations offer flex or paid time to volunteer at a student
nutrition program.
How do I get Involved?
- You can help by volunteering as a club one day a
week, taking shifts to help at a program.
- You can donate funds to adopt a program to
support one breakfast or snack program
- You can collect specific non-perishable foods
such as pudding cups and granola bars
- You can organize a fundraiser with proceeds
going towards Breakfast for Kids
You can make a difference in children's
lives by volunteering at a student
nutrition program.
